Quad Force Endmill - QFM

The natural progression in chip making technology is the Quad Force (QFM) cutting tool geometry. This new design is defined as a hybrid combination of (1) high feed geometry, (2) variable flute geometry, (3) variable helix geometry and (4) offset geometry. By combining these cutting technologies, the Quad Force (QFM) geometry is capable of performing high feed machining, Trochoidal machining, side / slot milling and plunge / variable plunge milling. Programmers and machinists now have the flexibility of choosing the best possible roughing process with a fraction of the cutting tooling library.

Quad Force Machining combines Side Milling, Trichoidal Milling, High Feed Milling and Variable Plunge Milling. This approached is used to rapidly remove metal, pocket machine or side wall finishing. The QFM geometry and machining process reduces harmonics and tool deflection often associated with these processes.
Computer Aided Manufacturing Radius (CAM R)

MILLSTAR high feed geometry is designed from a series of continuous radii with no single point to induce wear. For users without tooling measuring systems, MILLSTAR provides a computer aided manufacturing radius (CAM R). The CAM R will allow programmers and machinist a theoretical radius for programming purposes. Depending on diameter, the CAM R will leave the workpiece in a +0.0003 to +0.0005 plus stock condition.
